Mobile tech analysis company Juniper Research predicts that the worldwide number of augmented reality (AR) users, taking in smartphones, tablets and smart glasses, will rise from 60m in 2013 to nearly 200m in 2018. Disrupting the UK’s £4bn season ticket business, CommuterClub makes travel cheaper

Public transport can be a distressing place at the best of times, but even more so as a commuter who has to pay upwards of £1,500 a year to get to work – and that’s where CommuterClub, in this year’s Everline Future 50, comes in. Through a combination of crowdfunding and P2P lending, the service lets commuters across the country buy annual season tickets to save an average of £200 each annually.
