Wetherspoon boss wants a reduction on high-street taxes and a no-deal Brexit, why?
Whilst the UK pub industry has suffered immensely over the last few years, JD Wetherspoon, Britain’s answer to a budget ‘pub’ chain has only grown and prospered. Whilst sales are up despite a tough high-street market, chairman Tim Martin is issuing cost warnings which he claims can be solved via reduced taxation and a ‘no-deal’ Brexit.
